ABOUT LUCIA

Lucia Maruzza

Lucia Maruzza has established Grow-In-Life Therapeutic Counselling Services, a practice which aims to help and support children, young people and adults with mental health issues. These may include stress, anxiety, abuse, self-confidence, relationship issues, eating disorders, addictions, self-harm, childhood trauma, PTSD, ASD, special educational needs, communication difficulties, bullying etc. I have over twenty years of working in school settings, supporting vulnerable children and young people to reach their full potential. Also, vast experience in working collaboratively with their families struggling with addictions, housing, parenting skills, relationship challenges, abuse etc. Furthermore, I have also volunteered my time to support the homeless. Charities such as ANESIS (Coventry) and The Falcon Centre (Loughborough)
I believe that this important work has given me insight and first-hand experience, in being able to better understand the impact this has on mental health. To acknowledge the struggles and challenges that modern life can create for some disadvantaged people in our community. Furthermore, having worked with the homeless, who are vulnerable, facing issues such as: housing, addictions, financial struggles, etc has given me insight and experience to understand the challenges they encounter.
I’m able to offer a quiet, relaxed therapy room, a safe space in the quaint town of Dunstable, Bedfordshire. Alternatively, I am able to meet client’s needs by supporting you on-line if preferred.
